DPA Microphones

DPA Microphones
Designing microphones with amazing sound, exceptional consistency and outstanding durability is no easy feat. DPA Microphones draws on more than six decades of world-class microphone design experience. This history starts back in the 1950s, when our predecessor, Brüel & Kjær, developed the first, precisely accurate measurement microphones. Today, sound superiority and technical innovation is still at the heart of everything we do.

professional microphones

Lavalier | Headset and Earset | Handheld | Instrument | Pencil | Shotgun | Gooseneck | Immersive | Kits

DPA's long history of precision and perfection continues to define our condenser microphones to this day. Pristine sound and technical innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Each microphone is assembled by hand at the state-of-the-art factory in Denmark. During this process, each mic undertakes at least 200 individual hands-on steps to assemble, then calibrated up to 15 times before final approval; with all sensitivity options done acoustically between the diaphragm and the pre-polarised back plate within the capsule, not in the electronics. It is this type of ingenious engineering and robust design that makes DPA the professional microphone choice used in Hollywood blockbuster films, Broadway musicals, International broadcasts and for Grammy Award winning musicians.

headset microphones

Omnidirectional | Directional

DPA Microphones offers a wide range of earset and headset microphones that can be used in a wide range of settings. DPA's Headset Microphones are ideal for public speakers, broadcast professionals, actors, singers and musicians who place more importance on superior voice reproduction, comfort and easy setup, than concealment. Common to all of them is their superior sound quality, flexibility and durability. Headworn microphones are popular because of their ease of use, amazing sound and flexibility. Once placed on the performer, the headset microphone sits securely and unobtrusively close to the sound source and allows the user to move freely about without having to hold a microphone in the hand or have a lavalier mic clipped on the shirt. Headset and earset mics remove the disadvantage of changing color of the sound as the head moves around.

Introducing CORE+ by DPA

CORE+ MICROPHONES

CORE+ is a revolutionary leap ahead in microphone design, blurring the lines between what is and isn’t acoustically possible. This technology neutralizes distortion across the entire dynamic range of the microphone making any residual distortion imperceptible to the naked ear and virtually unmeasurable. CORE+ technology delivers crystal-clear, distortion-free sound across the full dynamic range, even at high sound pressure levels. This advancement allows sound engineers to achieve exceptional audio clarity with ease, enhancing the overall listening experience whether recording or amplifying. Particularly beneficial for miniature microphones used in theatre and film, CORE+ builds on DPA’s renowned CORE technology by eliminating distortion entirely—where CORE reduced artifacts to 1% THD, CORE+ removes them completely. The result is enhanced transparency and detail, even with loud vocals or multiple mics on stage.

Introducing MicroLock®

MICROLOCK® MICROPHONES | ADAPTERS

MicroLock is a dependable microphone connector that offers reliability, durability and robustness, ensuring that sound professionals can trust their equipment in any situation. It allows you to use your microphones with different brands of transmitters, so you don't have to buy a new mic for each system. In other words, you are no longer bound to one wireless system.
