New lamp-free, ultra-high performance Optoma projector produces incredible image quality

Made for ‘fit and forget’ installations, lamp changes and expensive maintenance cycles are significantly reduced. Combined with state-of-the-art display and management features, the ZU650 delivers spectacular image quality and reliable performance suitable for virtually any environment. The lamp-free, versatile solution is ideal for all types of installations including lecture theatres, entertainment, stage and trade shows, education and places of worship.

Key features include a laser-phosphor light source technology which produces a sealed, mercury-free optical design. This prevents dust entering the projector and reduces warm-up and cool-down time, as well as a long life light source operation of up to 20,000 hours with minimal maintenance.

An output of 6,000 Lumens of brightness can be adjusted to suit the needs of the end user. For example, cricket stadiums require significantly more brightness than the needs of a control room or museum.

WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution offers 15 per cent more pixels than that of Full HD 1080p resolution. This presents exceptionally sharp detail and a noticeable difference, particularly on larger commercial screens such as those located in large sports stadiums and entertainment arenas.Offering greater flexibility, five lens options with motorised zoom and focus allow installers to easily achieve the desired image size. Using the vertical axis of the ZU650, images can be projected over a full 360-degree range on a ceiling or floor. Portrait mode is a practical inclusion for digital signage applications or for use on tall, thin projection areas.

HDBaseT connectivity allows the transmission of uncompressed HD video over a CAT5e/6 Ethernet cable. The ZU650 can be monitored over a local area network and alert the end user with an email should an error occur or a light source fail via Crestron RoomView software.

A 24-hour automated power scheduling feature ensures the projector switches off when not in use, helping to reduce up to 30 per cent of energy bills. RoomView Express makes scheduling new or recurring events simple, and automatically switches off at midnight to save energy. It also gives end users the ability to simultaneously view more than 250 rooms from a single interface.
