New Radial Reamp® JCR - A Classic Updated!

Radial Engineering has announced the release of their latest generation Reamp® passive Reamper™ featuring the traditional design set out by inventor & patent holder, John Cuniberti.

The Reamp® JCR™  is a passive studio Reamper™ that allows engineers to take a pre-recorded track and send it back to a guitar or bass amp and re-record it. The benefits are tremendous - instead of worrying about the sound of the track, the engineer can focus solely on getting the best musical performance. Once the magic has been captured, the guitarist can go home while the track is Reamped at will using various mic positions, different amplifiers or additional effects.

Radials’ Reamp® JCR™ is the latest version of the original Reamp that was designed & patented by John Cuniberti. It features a 100% passive design with John's original custom-wound 'Made in the USA' transformer and circuit.

According to Radial’s president, Peter Janis: “With over 10 years’ legacy and customers as diverse as Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen and the Rolling Stones, we were careful to retain the original circuit design that John created after we purchased the brand. We sourced the original custom-made USA transformer and stayed true to John’s original circuit."

But as you all know, our team at Radial can never just leave well enough alone! The new JCR Reamp has been equipped with some fun extras that we think will set the Reamping bar another step higher. This includes a handy mute switch that enables the engineer to turn off the signal coming from the control room and allow him to move mics around the studio without the amp blasting away. We also added a switchable hi-cut filter to help tame overly bright amps and a lo-cut filter to reduce unwanted resonance.”

Like all Radial products, the Reamp JCR™ is designed to endure the rigours of professional use. 14 gauge steel construction throughout provides excellent shielding and Radial’s I-Beam internal frame ensures the PCB assembly remains stress free. The innovative “book-end” casing design provides a protective barrier around the switches, controls & connectors further lengthening lifespan whilst a full non-slip base pad provides both mechanical isolation and electrical insulation.

Janis continued: “We are proud to be the new owners of the Reamp brand and plan to do our very best to continue the amazing legacy that Mr Cuniberti has left in our care."
