The Mark Levinson № 626 dual-monaural preamplifier offers exceptional analog audio quality alongside sophisticated digital audio processing, elevating the realism of sound reproduction. Central to the № 626 is its unique Pure Path design, which features a fully discrete, direct-coupled, balanced dual-monaural signal path and a precise R-2R ladder volume control, ensuring optimal accuracy and sonic excellence. Each analog stereo input, including two balanced (XLR) and three single-ended (RCA) connections, is equipped with individual low-noise signal switching relays, enhancing bandwidth and signal integrity. The preamplifier's power supply and digital circuits are meticulously shielded from the analog and phono sections to preserve signal quality. Furthermore, it offers various analog outputs that can function in full-range mode or with a selectable fourth-order 80Hz filter for seamless integration with powered subwoofers.
The № 626 marks a significant advancement for Mark Levinson, being the first model to feature the Precision Link III digital-to-analog converter, which accommodates all digital inputs. At its core is the ES9039PRO, an 8-channel Hyperstream IV DAC from ESS Technology, complemented by proprietary jitter elimination technology and fully balanced, discrete I/V circuitry. The preamplifier includes six digital inputs—one AES/EBU, two coaxial, two optical, and a USB-C audio processor capable of asynchronous high-resolution DSD and PCM data transfer up to 32-bit / 384kHz. Its modular chassis design effectively isolates low-level analog and digital components from the power supply, with critical parts mounted on rubber to minimize vibration and enhance performance.

Orders placed though the Amber Technology website are despatched from our Sydney warehouse. Orders placed before 1.00pm Sydney time (for items in stock) will generally be shipped on the same day.
We ship using Startrack Express. We deliver Australia-wide to residential, business and PO box addresses.
Shipping is free for all orders over $1100 including GST (effective 1 April 2026). There is a $33 (including GST) shipping and handling charge for all orders under $1100 including GST.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The availability of stock is communicated via the indicator of each product listing page. "Available" means that reasonable stock is in our warehouse, ready for immediate shipment. "Limited Stock" means that we have only a small number of items in stock. "Out of Stock" means this item is currently unavailable for immediate shipment - orders placed for ‘Out of Stock’ items will be fulfilled as soon as replacement stock arrives.
"Special Order” items are products that are not generally kept in stock in Australia. Lead times for Special Order items vary depending on country of origin, manufacturer’s stock levels, factory production schedules and/or incoming shipment transit times. Please contact us for an estimate as to the likely lead time. Please note that finalized sales for special order items cannot be cancelled.
