Amber Technology Limited and Noise Toys Imports Pty Ltd are pleased to announce they have reached agreement for the sale of the Noise Toys Imports (NTI) business to Amber, with both parties committed to ensuring a smooth transition for customers and manufacturers.

The sale was completed on Monday September 6, 2021.

Under the terms of the agreement the brands distributed by Noise Toys Imports in Australia and New Zealand will transfer to Amber Technology.  Reece Specis from Noise Toys has agreed to join the Amber Technology team and will continue to work with the brands involved in the acquisition, ensuring continuity for customers and vendors.

The deal will see renowned guitar pedals brand Strymon join the Amber Technology Musical Instrument (MI) portfolio (Australia only), as well as Hotone guitar pedals, Richter guitar straps and Walla Walla guitars, plus the other brands from the Noise Toys Imports line up.

Noise Toys Imports’ Reece Specis said the sale to Amber Technology, with its strong focus on the musical instrument industry and more than 30 years of experience, was a positive outcome for the NTI business. He said that both parties were determined to ensure minimal disruption for customers and vendors.

“Since 2007 Noise Toys Imports has been specialising in boutique music products and guitar accessories in Australia and New Zealand,” Mr Specis said. “I am excited to enter this new chapter in our history, joining the strong Amber Technology family of brands, experienced staff and national dealer network to leverage the resources available to grow the brands further. NTI has appreciated the support of our customers and suppliers over the years, and I look forward to continuing to build those relationships in the future.”

Amber Technology managing director, Mr Peter Amos, said the company was extremely excited to have the opportunity to add the Noise Toys Imports business into its existing Musical Instruments division.

“We look forward to welcoming the brands represented by NTI into our portfolio, offering our MI customers an expanded range of brands, and Reece joining our experienced team of MI staff,” Mr Amos said. “We are focussed on building and growing our presence in the MI markets in Australia and New Zealand, and this is a great opportunity for us to build on the existing relationships we have. The NTI brands are a perfect complement to the musical instrument brands we currently represent.
