Compact, programmable audio player provides flexible automated playback for commercial and public facilities
TASCAM is pleased to announce the AP-10, a compact 2-Channel Announcement SD Player with External Control designed to provide flexible, automated audio playback for commercial facilities, theme parks, airports, offices, and other public environments. With support for GPIO and LAN-based Open Sound Control (OSC), the AP-10 seamlessly integrates with external control systems, sensors, timers, signage, and other equipment to trigger and automate audio playback.
The AP-10 features five playback modes - Direct, Single, Interval, Binary, and Program. These individual modes accommodate a wide range of applications. Binary playback supports up to 250 audio files, making the AP-10 well suited for multilingual guidance, zone-specific announcements and large-scale messaging systems. Program playback allows audio to be triggered in a preset sequence for applications such as exhibition tours, work-procedure guidance, and scenario-based presentations. All modes allow audio to be triggered automatically through external devices, while manual start and stop functions are workable from the front panel of the unit.
For convenient content preparation and detailed playback control tailored to any facility, the free TASCAM Playlist Editor software allows users to create and edit playlists even when offline. Each audio file can be configured with a wide range of settings including volume, playback intervals, trigger start delay, fade times, and much more. The AP-10 also supports remote control from tablets or PCs through OSC, allowing users to build and customize control surfaces with tools such as TouchOSC which enables integration with video and lighting equipment.
The AP-10 provides additional features for dependable, unattended operation. Power-on Play for automatic playback based on contact-input status at startup, Ducking function lowers external background music during announcements to improve clarity, and Dual-Mono operation which allows the left and right channels to function at separate outputs, enabling different audio programs to play from a single unit.
Built within a 1U half rack form factor, the AP-10's rugged metal chassis is designed for long-term operation. A protected SD card cover, Euroblock cable holder, and panel lock all provide additional safety, ensuring performance without accidental operation. The optional rack mount kit AK-RM05 and 1U rack-mountable shelf AK-RS1 provide additional solutions to installations where space is limited.

Orders placed though the Amber Technology website are despatched from our Sydney warehouse. Orders placed before 1.00pm Sydney time (for items in stock) will generally be shipped on the same day.
We ship using Startrack Express. We deliver Australia-wide to residential, business and PO box addresses.
Shipping is free for all orders over $1100 including GST (effective 1 April 2026). There is a $33 (including GST) shipping and handling charge for all orders under $1100 including GST.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Amber Technology maintains a nation-wide network of carefully selected Authorised Service Agents to ensure that you are never far from convenient, expert technical and service support. If your item develops a problem and requires servicing under warranty, please contact your local Authorised Service Agent.
The availability of stock is communicated via the indicator of each product listing page. "Available" means that reasonable stock is in our warehouse, ready for immediate shipment. "Limited Stock" means that we have only a small number of items in stock. "Out of Stock" means this item is currently unavailable for immediate shipment - orders placed for ‘Out of Stock’ items will be fulfilled as soon as replacement stock arrives.
"Special Order” items are products that are not generally kept in stock in Australia. Lead times for Special Order items vary depending on country of origin, manufacturer’s stock levels, factory production schedules and/or incoming shipment transit times. Please contact us for an estimate as to the likely lead time. Please note that finalized sales for special order items cannot be cancelled.
