New Optoma ultra-short-throw projector delivers impressive picture quality in a compact package

Optoma, a leading designer and manufacturer of projection and sound solutions, has released the new 1080p ultra-short throw projector (EH320UST) to help transform living rooms and backyards into high performance home theatres.

The new EH320UST ultra-short-throw projector has one of the shortest throw ratios on the market. What this offers is the ability to place the projectors extremely close to the screen, without compromising the image in anyway. With superior 1080p full HD resolution and 4000 Lumens of brightness this results in sharp detailed images, ensuring the best possible viewing experience. It is also one of the brightest ultra-short-throw projectors available and is one of just a handful of models that offer UST 1080p on the market.

Crystal clear Full HD images are brought to life by 4000 ANSI Lumens and 20,000:1 contrast ratio which promises optimal viewing, even in bright outdoor settings. Its 0.25:1 throw ratio enables up to 100 inches of visual content to be displayed from only 55 centimetres from the screen. Weighing 4.78 kilograms, the EH320UST is a compact and versatile solution that can be easily installed close to a screen, making it practical in areas with space limitations. Furthermore, the narrow gap between projector and screen reduces unwanted shadows, which can occur when a projector is mounted a significant distance from the screen.

A 1080p Full HD resolution provides sharp and detailed images from High Definition (HD) content without the need for downscaling or compression, making it ideal for playing Blu-ray content and video games as well as HD broadcasting. The EH320UST is also equipped to display true 3D content from compatible broadcasting servers, Blu-ray players and the latest generation games consoles. In addition, support for the 144Hz rapid refresh rate provides ultra-smooth flicker free images.

Offering low ongoing maintenance, the EH320UST has a long lamp life of up to 6,500 hours and features dust-prevented technology for picture perfect, unblemished images. Focus switch allows users to shift the lens from left to right as required.

Optoma 1080p ultra-short-throw projector (EH320UST) - RRP $2,999 and is available August 2015.
